WARNED
Blackmail
Chantâge is a festive, slightly offbeat pop choir—a space where kindness and self-deprecating humor go hand in hand with the joy of singing together. Founded in the heart of the WARNED Garden, Chantâge brings together Goldies (65+) who come together to share a love of singing, connection, and the simple joy of being together. Here, there’s no competition or mandatory music theory: we sing to connect, breathe more deeply, and find our voices.
Where and when should we sing?
Rehearsals are held every Thursday afternoon at Thé au Jardin, in a large tent surrounded by nature—a lively, inspiring, and welcoming setting.
Consistency is important, because every voice counts in creating the group’s harmony.

Music Direction & Repertoire
The choir is led by Maria, a passionate musician and educator who fosters a sense of collective energy and vocal authenticity. Her philosophy is to make singing a space for listening, trust, and shared emotion. Under her guidance, every rehearsal becomes a haven of positive energy where accuracy matters (almost) as much as the joy of being together.
At Chantâge, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we take music to heart. Our repertoire is a mix of pop, reimagined French songs, and timeless hits. Tunes that make you smile, tap your feet, and sometimes even shed a tear—but always with a touch of humor.
We sing mainly in French and English, but we also sing in Italian, Spanish, Dutch, and more. We explore, adapt, and take risks: from the yé-yé era to today, from Queen to Clara Luciani, including collaborative pieces that take shape during rehearsals... Each song is chosen for what it awakens in us: energy, tenderness, and a fierce desire to share.
At Chantâge, we don’t just go along with the set list— we create it! Twice a year, the Goldies their ideas on the table (and sometimes in song) to decide together which songs will make our hearts and vocal cords sing.

Come Sing Happiness
Since 2022, Chantâge has been proudly partnered with “Viens Chanter Bonheur,” the Parisian choir of the Rosa Bonheur guinguette in Asnières (Paris)—proof that happiness is something to be sung! Every year, Chantâge organizes choir exchanges between Brussels and Paris, and occasionally opens its space to other vocal ensembles. The goal: to bring together voices, practices, and audiences, united by the same desire to sing of life, without barriers or labels.

Uniting Voices
In addition to our regular weekly singing program for the GOLDIES, we offer Unir les Voix, a unique multigenerational experience. Once a month, we open not only our rehearsals but also the Garden itself—a place for exchange, curiosity, and the joy of singing. The goal? To bring choirs together, mixing audiences and ages, different styles and energies. So come share a musical moment with your choir, exchange ideas, breathe together—and let our differences resonate in a single breath.
Sing at the top of your lungs!
Whether you’re single, married, divorced, widowed, in a committed relationship, and regardless of your political views, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status, Le Jardin warmly welcomes GOLDIES all walks of life… On Thursdays, we especially welcome Goldies want to rediscover energy, connection, and confidence through singing. With Chantâge, our festive pop choir, the voice becomes a tool to reconnect with oneself and others, to break free from loneliness and reclaim one’s place in society. Singing together is much more than an activity: it is breathing, moving, vibrating in unison, rediscovering one’s body and one’s presence in the world.
By participating in an event or activity organized by WARNED, you automatically become a member of our Association. As such, we ask every GOLDIE to commit to embracing our values: open-mindedness, inclusion, a desire to participate, kindness, generosity, sharing, co-creation, safety, and health. These shared values and commitments give you an idea of what we expect from one another and the standards we hold for all our staff, volunteers, and activities. We are a community.
